Many Morle's in the USA either emigrated from the isle of Ponza or are descendents of Morle's who emigrated from Ponza. I am looking to find a link between the Ponza Morle's and the United Kingdom Morle's.

(Ponza is a small island off the coast of Italy roughly midway between Rome and Naples.)

I have been doing some research on the Ancestry.com web site and I have collected a considerable amount of information about American Morle's, past and present.

The first file is of Public Records and lists recent and present Morles giving age and address. This file is sorted in house address order which puts all members of the same family together. In the interests of privacy I have stripped off the Town and State part of the data. Please go to this link to examine this file.

The second file lists Births, Marriages, Divorces and Deaths of Morle's in the USA. Please go to this link to examine this file.

The third, and biggest, file lists all persons entering the USA by sea. If the person was a sailor for example, there may be numerous entries. There appears to be no data kept of people who left the USA. There is an entry for a Colin Morle who arrived in 1942 aged 2. That person was me! My father was in the RAF during WW2 and posted to Canada for a couple of years. I was with my Mum enroute to join him for a while. Please go to this link to examine this file.
