Searching through parish records in Somerset for births and marriages of Morle's I have come across some families where some of the children in the same family were babtised Morle and some Morl. The two words Morle and Morl sound the same. It is possible, even likely, that the present separate Morle and Morl families come from the same origin.

I have made a good start at putting together the 'Morl' family tree and my efforts so far can be seen as follows:-

A list containing all the birth, marriage and death information available on the Internet covering 1837 to 2004. I have not looked at any parish records nor have I ordered any certificates. To access the list click here.

Also available on the Internet is the Census data at 10 year intervals from 1841 to 1911. This shows family groups and shows birth dates back into the 1780's. To access the census data click here.
