The 100 year rule. The UK Government collects census information from every household every 10 years but the information about who lives in each house and how they are related is not released into the public domain until 100 years have passed. They claim that this is done to respect peoples privacy. Some people believe that the 100 year rule should apply to websites such as this. I am not of this opinion. This website gives relationship information about UK Morle's. Almost all of the initial information was freely given to me by the various UK Morle families. I believe that most of you are very interested to see where you sit in the Morle family trees. The same Government that applies the 100 year rule to census data makes the Birth, Marriage and Death information freely available to anyone just some months after the event. This is just one of the reasons I have decided to make the information on this web site as up to date as possible. If this causes any sort of problem with anyone I will be happy to remove their information. There are some instances of children born outside marriage or other perceived irregularities. People are people and these things happen. These instances are of no concern to me. My only interest is in collecting the facts as recorded in the official records so that we can clearly see our origins. There are rising concerns about identity theft. The home addresses of UK Morles are NOT published on this web site. |
