The Ladies.

By convention family trees follow the male line down through the generations. As a result my family tree is full of Morle's. However a number of non-Morles are involved in this process. These non-Morles are of course the ladies, without whose help we would not be here.

The way the various records have been kept by the church and the government it is not always easy to find the surname of the ladies with the result that new people will suddenly appear in the Morle tree by marriage, and subsequent change of surname. These lady Morles have no (Morle) birth date, because they were born with their own surname. As a result of this I have many ladies in my records such as Mary Unknown or Margaret Unknown. This is because I know her name is Mary or Margaret but I do not know her maiden surname.

Another problem is that, for some reason I have never been able to fathom, some ladies like to be secretive about their age by keeping their birth date secret. Again, this makes record keeping difficult.

Help Please!

If you see a record were you are shown as 'Unknown', please do not be offended by my ignorance. Please send me the missing information, full maiden name and birth date and location plus marriage date and location so that I can add your details to the family tree.

Similarly, if you find know the details of a relative who has since died please let me have these details as well.
